Meriden Youth Travel Baseball, Inc. Scholarship Application
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Notification of scholarship awards by late June.
Meriden Youth Travel Baseball, Inc. (MYTB) is very proud to offer student athletes in its various playing programs the opportunity to apply for our scholarship. This scholarship is non renewable and may vary each year depending on the funds available.
2008 Requirements
All applicants must:
1. Be either a graduating senior in high school or student currently attending a four-year college/university that is accredited by recognized accreditation agencies and offers at least a bachelor's degree upon completion of the course of study offered.
- Have been involved a minimum of four years within the MYTB organization. Preference will be given to: (a) applicant whom participated on multiple teams in the same calendar year; (b) applicant whom performed community service at a MYTB function.
3. A candidate must demonstrate character, integrity and leadership through participation in extra curricular, civic or community activities.
The scholarship will be awarded on a combination of participation, merit, financial need, community service, leadership, academics and/or special talents and skills. Selection will be completed by a committee of MYTB board members.
• Copy of official grade transcript.
• Complete the application personally.
• Enclose only the items requested (no biographies, resumes, or supplementary list of activities).
• Answer all questions using only the space provided on the application.
• Personal Statement: in 75 words or less, what you would like a scholarship donor to know about you.
